Filtering application data by tagged computers
Tags allow you to filter application data based on specific computers, making it easier to analyze application usage within different teams, departments, or locations. By using tags, you can narrow down application data to only the computers that match your selected criteria.
Filtering applications on the applications list page
On the main applications list page, you can filter the displayed applications by computer tags.
Locate the filter
- Navigate to the applications list page in your WhatPulse Professional account.
- In the top right corner of the table, find the Filter by computer tags dropdown.
Select tags to filter
- Click on the Filter by computer tags dropdown.
- Select one or more tags to filter the applications list.
The applications table will automatically update to display only applications used on computers with the selected tags.
Filtering application activity on the application details page
On the application details page, you can further refine application activity data by filtering based on computer tags.
Locate the filter
- Open the details page for an application.
- In the top right corner of the page, find the Filter data by computer tags dropdown.
Select tags to filter data
- Click on the dropdown and select one or more tags.
- The activity data displayed on the page will automatically update to show only data from computers with the selected tags.
By using tags to filter application data, you can efficiently analyze usage patterns across different groups of computers, helping you make more informed decisions about software deployment, productivity, and resource allocation.
